Targeting Inefficiencies

Acetta collaborates with cross-functional teams to audit and investigate "trouble zones" of key business processes until the root causes of inefficiencies are jointly acknowledged and laid bare.

In this step the teams achieve a total, holistic view of the "drag factors" in a troubled process that in turn degrade organizational performance. Departmental handoffs or communication failures within key processes, for example, create friction and add cost. But exposing them takes a cross-functional team working in a blame-free atmosphere in pursuit of clear objectives.

Audit teams can focus on the organization's technology landscape, or the expectations sales teams set with new customers, or internal human resource, management, or compensation issues. It is a focused drill-down exercise, however, limited to investigating known, identified inefficiencies.

Results: shared understanding of the root operational causes of key process inefficiency. Awareness of how far out of alignment people, processes and technologies actually are. A rational, tactical basis for solution definition.
